ROCKS

Ancient witnesses to all change, slowly altering over the ages.

Small ceramic sculptures, hollow and heavily textured. Drawing inspiration from my local geology and the rocks I inevitably bring home after a walk.

Hand built and carved from black stoneware clay, porcelain, or terracotta.

Oxides, underglazes and slips and glazes are built up in layers, scraped back and over laid to give greater depth. More Slips and glazes are added before they are high fired again for durability. These rocks will withstand being outside.
